Liner notes
LAST SUMMER is a cinematic synthwave elegy for the moments we don’t realize are disappearing until they’re already gone. Built from fading neon skies, rain-soaked streets, analog textures, distant radio glow, and late-night motion, the track drifts through memory like fragments of a forgotten season — half nostalgia, half ache. Warm synths and restrained pulses carry the feeling of old photographs, blurred city lights, backseat conversations, and the strange grief of realizing that ordinary moments were quietly becoming permanent memories. LAST SUMMER explores the beauty and heartbreak of impermanence: the people we almost held onto, the nights that moved too fast, and the versions of ourselves left behind inside them. For the night drivers. For the old souls. For anyone still haunted by summers that never really ended.
Part of the TEKNOLUST TRANSMISSIONS series.
LAST SUMMER TEKNOLUST
Heat on the pavement then gone in a blink the curb held our shadows like water in ink
A page of old faces a window, a blur the summer was speaking and none of us heard
We were alive in the middle too close to the flame the air kept a secret it never said our names
We didn’t know it was the last summer We didn’t know it was already leaving
The moment we tried to hold it, it was leaving These are the days we only keep in fragments
Late-night car windows half-open, half-sad the city made halos out of what we had
A laugh in the backseat a hand on the glass the street kept on turning and turning so fast
Old photographs tremble in the blue of a phone a face in the corner that feels like a home
We were standing in mercury gold at the seam the night folded slowly around what we dreamed
We didn’t know it was the last summer We didn’t know it was already leaving
The moment we tried to hold it, it was leaving These are the days we only keep in fragments
A receipt, a polaroid salt on a sleeve the names that we almost remembered to keep
Your voice in a doorway my silence, the room the moon on the dashboard the bruised, passing bloom
We didn’t know it was the last summer We didn’t know it was already leaving
The moment we tried to hold it, it was leaving These are the days we only keep in fragments
We didn’t know how fast it would vanish We didn’t know we were already there
These are the days we only keep in fragments These are the days that disappear everywhere
