Liner notes
At first, nobody noticed. The messages were harmless enough. Stay positive. Trust the process. Everything is fine. When concerns were raised, they were reframed. When questions were asked, they became attitude problems. Every warning disappeared beneath another slogan. Every signal was buried beneath noise. The system didn't need to silence anyone. It only needed to convince them that what they were seeing wasn't real. FALSE SIGNAL is a cinematic synthwave transmission about the moment reality and messaging diverge—and the choice between accepting the narrative or trusting your own eyes. Somewhere beneath the static, the truth is still broadcasting.
Part of the TEKNOLUST TRANSMISSIONS series.
FALSE SIGNAL TEKNOLUST
They painted promises on every wall Said everybody mattered here Put the words in glossy presentations Fed them to us year after year
Then the budget lines started disappearing Names and teams erased overnight When somebody asked what happened They told us not to start a fight
Just breathe Stay positive Trust the process Trust the plan
Keep smiling while the floor is moving Underneath where we stand
Don't worry, be happy That's what they keep saying While the lights go out one by one
Don't worry, be happy Smile for the cameras While the system comes undone
False signal False signal
Everything is fine Everything is fine Until there's nothing left to save
Every warning buried in a slogan Every question framed as negativity Every concern becomes a personal problem Instead of institutional responsibility
The noise gets louder The message gets cleaner The truth gets harder to find
And somewhere inside the static A hundred voices fall behind
Incoming transmission Positive outlook required Concern detected Reclassifying Reclassifying Attitude issue Attitude issue False signal detected
Don't worry, be happy They said it so often We almost believed it was true
Don't worry, be happy While they kept removing Everything they promised to do
False signal False signal The noise was never happiness It was hiding the truth
